More Than Just Photographs


Some families don’t just book a session with you, over time they become part of your story, returning year after year until you can’t remember your work without them.


I first met this family when they had just moved to Massachusetts. I photographed them as a couple, along with their dog, and little did I know then how many chapters of their story I would have the honor of documenting.


Then came their first pregnancy. Their newborn session. Family sessions as their little one grew. And eventually, another beautiful baby joined their family.


I’ve had the privilege of watching their family grow, not just through my camera, but through the little moments and milestones that make up their story. From two people and their pup to a family of four, it has been such a beautiful journey to document.


And now, even though they’ve moved out of state, they still come back to see me.


I honestly can’t even begin to express how much that means to me. Photography is so much more than taking pretty pictures. It’s the relationships built along the way. It’s being trusted with the memories that matter most. It’s watching families grow and knowing that, for a small piece of their journey, I get to be there.


There is something incredibly special about having a family choose you again and again as their lives change. To be invited back for the next pregnancy, the next baby, the next family session, the next chapter. I never take that trust for granted. These sessions are reminders of exactly why I love what I do. I get to freeze pieces of people’s lives in photographs, but I also get to watch their stories unfold. Getting to continue documenting this family, even from another state, is something I am truly grateful for.Thank you for continuing to choose me. For coming back. For trusting me with your memories. It means more than you know.
