Outfits for Family Sessions

What do I wear for family pictures? The number one question I get asked. As a family of 7 I know how stressful it is to find the right outfits for everyone. Coordinating everyone but not matching, is much harder than you'd think. There are so many options, multiple different tones of every color. Everyone perfers different styles.

Over the years I have found that neutrals and warm earth tones are what I think photographs best. Mixing textures, layers, for a simple timeless look. When you book your family session you get a more detailed style guide, but I'd like to share some style guides I've made to take the stress off of finding outfits.

Tree Farm Session Style Guide

The holidays are sneaking up on us! Time to get ready for sessions at the free farm. I love the classic holiday colors such as hunter greens and deep red paired with neutral colors. Even just neutrals work too! Remember that the weather is cooler, please take that into consideration when choosing outfits.

Plaid is also classic a Christmas look, but too much doesn't photograph well!! If you choose to add it to your outfits please only have one family member in plaid.
